HARRIET MITCHELL | M.S., LCDC

Staff

Harriet Mitchell holds a Master of Science degree in Human and Social Services. She is the author of Self-Management in Long-Term Recovery. Mitchell joins us from Community Powered Workshop, where as executive director she provided collaborative work to strengthen the voices of the community and break barriers of systemic injustices. Her other local efforts include serving as program manager at Foundation Communities. Prior to moving to Central Texas, she served over three decades in the Beaumont-Port Arthur region of Southeast Texas directing several programs and conducting community engagement through collaborative efforts. She has extensive experience in management, grant writing, contract management, and donor relations.
