Jules Mitchell
Board Vice President
Jules is a native Austinite and is honored to serve as Vice President of RecoveryATX, giving back to the recovery community that has profoundly shaped her life. She believes recovery is possible for everyone and is committed to creating spaces where people can pursue healing in ways that are meaningful to them.
Jules is in long-term recovery and brings both lived experience and professional expertise to her work. She currently works in behavioral health at a residential substance use treatment center in Austin, supporting individuals through detox, treatment, and long-term recovery planning.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and will pursue her Master’s in Social Work at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work beginning in August 2026, following the clinical track with a focus on addiction, recovery, and trauma-informed care. She is passionate about helping others find hope, healing, and connection in their own recovery journeys.
Outside of work and service, Jules enjoys strength training, live music, interior design, and spending time with friends and family.
